Okay my first diary/blog post thing here.
I keep bouncing up and down 5kg. Id like to drop it again atm, and also a few extra KG.

Currently just getting over surgery (donated a kidney) which has hampered exercise. That plus some poor eating has seen the dreaded 5kg come back, now im eating better to drop it.

Today I ate too much liquorice, it was totally yum, but probably not the healthyist!

Tomorrow im up at 6am for a run with my daughters (we're doing 10km auckland marathon).

Got up at 6am and did 4.5km run with daughters. Miss 13 doesnt like getting up at 6 but likes running, the other likes to get up at 6 but walks a good portion of it. We did it in 41 mins.

Breakfast will be 2 poached eggs on toast (mmmm home made bread!)

Just a quick question. I have been updating my food diary and no I don't preplan. Just wondered if you found it easier to plan your days a few days in advance to make sure you didn't exceed your calories for that day.

Oh for sure! Especially if i knew i was going out to dinner or may end up overeating. There was only so many things I could avoid. So i would have slightly lower calories in breakfast and lunch and then the bigger dinner. Just things like that to counter balance it.

Okay, been making home made yoghurt which is good, the Ginger Crunch i made wasnt cool.
I wrapped it individually to help stop me eating and let the kids take it to school, but its only slowing me down some lol.

Breakfast was Coffee and ginger crunch.
Lunch was meat and veg, chinese style (mostly veg). About a cup of it.
Dinner was steak and chips and another ginger slice

Supper, was yet another ginger slice!

Today was drinks day at work, i stuck with diet coke, but ate a scone.

That's okay honey, wait until I post mine for the last few days. Then there are the foods I remember that I ate the following day.

Now I have managed to consume a whole bottle of Pinot Gris. OOPS!

Breakfast was a protein bar today
Lunch was half a butter chicken and a garlic naan
Dinner was some gross fatty lamb (wont be buying that one again!) 2 chunks of potato (half a potato?) and a carrot (all roasted).
    1 Coffee for breakfast.
    1.5 ltrs of water

Not happy about the lamb, some cheap rolled roast, and im sure they were on special and i got more than 2. This is why you dont have rolled roast! same price as a leg, but twice the fat and tastes like sausages!
Heading up to Auckland today to pick up a table, and meet Vanessa for the first time for a coffee.
If anyone else is in Auckland and keen to hook up just let us know.

Breakfast, bacon and a poached egg on a slice of toast. lots of coffee today. Today is clearly a coffee day. Breaky was late and biggish, plus coffee meant skipping lunch.

Unsure what dinner is going to be. ATM im tired :/

    Breakfast sucked today,
3 slices bacon, scrambled eggs, and a toast an 2 small breakfast sausages. Its not too bad in that its probably lunch also.
I think im feeling the guilt at all the chocolate brownies i ate yesterday.
Unsure what dinner is, i think ill make a veg soup to counter calories and that way i can make some breads (which i've wanted to do for a bit anyway)

My love for cooking and baking is frustrating when i have to be careful what i eat!

Had friends over for breakfast, hence the larger breakfast. It was good seeing them, one is on a diet and has lost over 20kg which is epic! i asked her to come onto the forum as its always good to have people who have been there done that mentor those struggling to do it.

Yesterday i forgot what i had, it was ok i think though, veg soup from the night before and home made foccacia bread for lunch, dinner was beef strognoff, slice of toast and bowl of cornflakes and low fat yog for supper. I dont recall having breakfast, i probably did have something (yog and cornies)

no breaky yuesterday, lunch was a banana and 6" ham subway. Dinner was roast lamb, boiled potatos with my own form of white sauce with garlic and onions and a touch of musterd (like aioli taste) and veg.
Couple slices of toast as supper and midnight snack because i woke in the middle of the night with thunderstorms and couldnt get back to sleep for hours :/
Feeling rather tired, tends to be a trigger for over-eating for me. Early night i think is needed

Spicy Chicken and White Bean Roast

    sea salt
400g can cherry tomatoes in tomato juice
    4 cloves garlic

    1 C white beans, drained

Preheat the oven to 200C. Place the chicken, paprika, coriander, cumin, chili, oil and salt in a bowl and toss well to coat. Set aside. ooo i love cherry tomatos! if you ever are having bacon and eggs for breaky, throw a couple in the oven, they are like lollies when cooked!

Yesterday i failed, i visited lollyshop and ate a bag of lollies. Not a HUGE amount. Then weds drinks at work i ate a bunch of stuff, which turned out ok because i had to take daughter to cheerleading then camera club and skipped dinner. Though i wasnt really hungry anyway having eaten too much.
So over all, breakfast was a banana, lunch was ham sandwiches and chicken drumsticks. Dinner was couple sausage rolls and savoury pies. plus lollies.
Calorie wise probably passable, but otherwise crap!

Today im heading up to auckland for dinner meeting and some photography stuff. I'm unsure how Ill do food wise, We'll see

Okay getting there, still geting too much of wrong foods though.

Got a dehydrator and tons of fruit! its soo awesome! Just bought cans of pineapple chunks and threw them in overnight, presto! healthy lollies the next morning!

Drove to auckland today for a kids party. Ate a decent amount, but not too much. Breaky was 2 poached eggs on toast. dinner was a burger and chips.

Bought a food processor also finally, now I can slice apples up much faster, sprinkle cinnamon on em, throw them in dehydrator overnight and yummyness!

Ack this is going to be yet another bad week. both my daughters birthday and mine. I got the free sample of that stuff Scott has which i may just end up buying. One less thing to deal with.
Also my daughter has a Cheerleading show on saturday and we have photos today, 2 dress rehearsals (thurs & friday), 1 normal rehearsal, plus karate today, and 2 shows saturday, then her birthday party sunday, and then my birthday (minus the party) monday.

I dont expect the food to be great. but ill do what i can
