Hi everyone my name is Michelle, i'm 20 years old and weigh my heaviest at the moment at 98 Kgs. I feel a great deal of motivation to loose weight and I am finally making a strong commitment to becoming a healthier size.

I have alway had weight issues but have never been this heavy. I put on most of my weight in my first year of uni where I lived at the uni halls and lived of student food. I also gave up my sport for 2 years (getting back into it next year), as I had zero time for it.

At the moment I am all signed up with a gym, have worked out a program and am ready to start loosing weight. The info I have learned about calorie reduction has given me a new sense of motivation mostly because I feel more in control of my weight. The counting seems a bit confusing but im sure once I get used to doing it will become easier.

I cant wait to give it a go!

Woot! welcome along! good for you to have a go! Must be hard with the whole student lifestyle i think for a lot of people. Having never been a student at uni I can only imagine. But if you do have any kind of success it would be great if you posted some hints/tips that helped.

I can tell you one that may help when drinking, people feel uncomfortable if they are eating or drinking booze when you aren't. I found i could order a diet coke and drink that and everyone would assume it was rum and coke, the same goes for sparkling apple juice and grape juice, people assumed it was wine
