i started this diet yesterday. Starting weight 192lb. i Made my soup the night before and added a large spoon of hot curry powder. I blended half of it when cooked and it looked so fab i couldnt wait to start!

Day 1 I had 5 bowls of soup, one tangerine, 1 baked apple, bunch of grapes and about 7 large strawberries. Drunk water all day and had one cup of coffee with no sugar or milk (yuk). I was glad to see the night come so i didnt have to have another bowl of spoup however nice it was!!

Day 2 (today) I have only managed 2 bowls of soup but did enjoy my baked potato with swede, cauli and french beens. Had 2 cups of tea no sugar or milk (slightly better than the coffee). I am waiting in anticipation for day 3! soup is the way forward lol

You are probably better off just sticking with the 1200 calorie diet, this is basically just super low calorie and no processed foods. you will find you will loose just as much and better if you stick to similar style of non-processed foods within the calorie limit (but add a little protein)

Hi there, I have been on a weight loss journey for a year now and have managed to lose 43kg, yay, however over the festive season, actually the last couple of months have managed to regain 10kg. I am wanting to give this soup diet a go to kick start my weight loss again. I also use the calorie counting technique. I am a bit apprehensive about losing weight initially on the soup diet then regaining. If i do this soup diet and then go back to 1200 calories a day will i put much back on afterwards???

Wow, intense, reminds me of the crazy arse diets I did as a teen lol! Going to give it a go though, as I have to lose a bunch to get below 100KG for something, then move to a sensible eating plan after that, but I need the kick start, I hope I can stick to it!

Thanks for the great site Liz, your weight loss is a huge inspiration darl!

hmm good question, you could probably go with something low calorie and filling like a low fat sugar replaced yogurt if you want. This also gives you calcium and protein
