5 Rules of Success
1. Breaking habits. This is breaking the “bowl of Ben & Jerry’s for Must See TV” on Thursday night, or “all you can eat night” at the local pizzeria with the gang.
2. Environment. If your significant other or friends eat like a horse around you, maybe you should not be around them so much. If you work at a fast food restaurant in the fry station, maybe you should transfer to cashier.
3. Modifying belief system. Let’s face it. There is a report about the newest and greatest weight loss break throughs every day. Our beliefs about weight loss are in a constant state of flux. There are some simple truths.
4. Have a support system. Weight loss forums are a great start, but we are not online 24 hrs a day. (if so, get some additional help ). Good support starts with your love ones, friends, or support groups.
5. Have a plan and realistic goals. Forget about 6 months from now. You may be dead. Focus on today. That is all you have moderate control over anyway. Setting goals is great, just so long as they are realistic. “Unrealistic expectations are premeditated resentments” anonymous. If you set an unrealistic goal, what do you think will happen if you fail? I can tell you. Triple Whopper w/cheese and a large chocolate shake chaser. Been there, should own a franchise
